18-year-old singer-songwriter Cat Burns is ready to stamp her mark on the UK music scene with her bracingly honest and distinctive R&B-pop sound and style.
Hailing from Streatham, South London, Cat loved to sing from a young age and would religiously listen to her family’s beloved gospel music and copied her favourite artists’ adlibs and vocal runs - greats like Kirk Franklin, Kim Burrell and Donnie McClurkin are among her heroes.
The BRIT school graduate released her debut EP ‘Adolescent’ at just 15 years old. Within 24-hours it charted number 11 in the iTunes singer/songwriter charts and gained praise from Jamz Supernova (BBC 1Xtra) describing Cat as “‘Meaningful Pop, with a urban folk/singer-songwriter twist’.”
Cat's latest single 'Cheater' is out now.
